Leading with Mastery and Insight

'Leading with Mastery and Insight: building your emotional and social intelligence for leadership' is a three-day residential run at The Briars, Bowral NSW. The program is designed for experienced EL1 & EL2 (and equivalents).

The program is designed around strengthening personal leadership through self-awareness, particularly knowing your impact on others, and knowing how to build and negotiate a wide rangeof personal and professional relationships to create value in your roles within, across and outside your department or agency. The program offers a range of opportunities to explore and apply the Knowing, Doing, Being framework to your “leadership self”.

The program builds on the strong and successful foundation of the Leading with Emotional and Social Intelligence program, which Di and Barry delivered from 2004 to 2012.

More information about the program can be found in this downloadable PDF.

Program Leaders

Christian Pitsopoulos Kim Hazendonk

The course is presented and led by Christian Pitsopoulos and Kim Hazendonk, who are CPM consultants with a broad range of experience in leadership and management development.

Dr John Baker and Dr Paul Robinson who developed the Emotional and Social Intelligence Capability Framework (ESICF) for application to public sector leadership work, supported CPM with the development of the program. The ESICF captures in an integrated way the “soft skills” of leadership which are widely acknowledged as the more difficult to develop and master, and which cause the most grief when leaders are not well equipped in their application.

The program includes a multi-rater 360° Feedback Profile called the 'Emotional and Social Intelligence Profile' (ESIP), which provides participants with feedback on their emotional and social intelligence capabilities. The program

CPM reserves the right to substitute an alternative presenter where the advertised presenter is unavailable for illness or other reasons.

Executive Coaching

One of the challenges of attending a three-day residential program is to not lose sight of the various insights, ideas, plans and issues that arise during the course.  Some of them are far too important not to follow up.

‘Leading with Mastery and Insight’ offers a one hour coaching session to take place in the months following the program. The coaching session provides  one-on-one time for specific issues to be discussed. The coaching session is provided by our experienced Executive Coach at our office in Canberra.
